Program Description: The Department of Health Science offers graduate programs that lead to an MPH or MS degree in health science. In addition, the department offers a joint MSN/MPH degree in collaboration with the Department of Nursing. The Department of Health Science is housed within the College of Health and Human Services, the second largest of the university's six colleges. The department has twelve full-time faculty members, who hold significant positions in public health and related agencies.
In some instances, scholarships, research assistantships and graduate assistantships may be available to support advanced students. Completion of a graduate degree in health science leads to many opportunities including transition to a new career in public health, career advancement, or further graduate study.
